Spontaneity at its finest

Out of Hand

The past month was supposed to be a love month but I didn’t quite felt all the love that it usually gives me. Everything seemed less inspiring but more irritating. Internal and external conflicts were as many as I can handle them.

As a graduating senior in college, pre-requisites for graduation were piling up as fast as the days go by. I thought I was in control of my life, but I wasn’t. Everything got so messed up and I messed up my whole life.

This and the pressure that the people and I gave my self made it worst and I just had to continue life anyway. I got no motivation anymore. I tried to pick myself up a couple of times but I never really stood up like the way I was in my fresh years in college. I felt like the past me has really left me, leaving me with nothing but my new damaged self in control.

My writing sucked even more. Though there were a lot of things added to my vocab and style but it was still the same shit even more worst than ever. Even this sad sulk-y post is out of hand and messed up.

I am tired of being this. I am tired being sad and stressed out. I am tired of being the worst of the best. I just want to get this whole thing over with and start a new life of better self and better life.

I hope I could say cheers but I kind of not feel like it for now.

Ciao!

Stuffed But Not Full (January 22)

I was supposed to have dinner and movie date last Saturday with my cousins Kuya Wilfred and Pia. It was for us to catch up since it’s been a long time since the last time we went out to bond. But due to unavoidable circumstances we weren’t able to go so we had to move it today. Unfortunately, Pia couldn’t come. It was still fun because Arjay was there.

We went to hear the noon mass at the Immaculate Concepcion Chapel in Xavier University. We then had lunch at Mang Inasal LKKS where we had to wait for a table since there were a lot of customers. The long wait for the table and the food was all worth it though since we were all stuffed by their unlimited rice offer. (Yeah, diet ruined but it’s okay. It’s all for the love of cousins. :D ) After eating, we went to McDonald’s and had desserts. Kuya and I had Hot Fudge Sundae while Arjay got McFloat. It was as if we weren’t already stuffed.

It was fun but it would have been a lot more fun if we had a lot of time. Kuya Wilfred has to go to work after lunch so we’d have to settle for a two-hour time together. The good news though is that Kuya promised to go watch a movie when he gets his next pay. YAY! I’m so looking forward to it!

Thank you very much Kuya! So looking forward to the movie date!

Cheers!

Bored and Thin (January 21)

It was hangover Saturday and I’ve got nothing else to do so I took pictures of myself again. Warning: VANITY OVERLOAD.
My vanity was so contagious that I got my dorm mate Rya in to this insanity. We took pictures of each other and here are the results. :D

It’s just weird why I so love doing that with my hair. HAHA

This is Rya. Isn’t she a natural beauty? Teehee! :D I love you Rya-bels!
I particularly love this one though that I posted this in LookBook.

The shirt used to fit me well. Now, it’s so loose makes me feel sexier! Teehee!
What I like about this photo is that I look thinner! YAY! It has been my goal since the start of the semester. It feels so good to see an evidence that I progressed in this challenge.
Cheers!

Mind Benders Did It Again! (January 20)

I mentioned about the digital short film festival Cinemagis in a previous post. Tonight was the awarding ceremony. I also mentioned that the short film that my friends over Mind Bender Films made got in and had 8 nominations. Well, I am happy to announce that “BF” won 7 out of 8 nominations. The short film won the following awards:

It was really a tough competition. I love most of the films!

You bubbly ladies stay bubbly!
To the rest of the mind benders at the Mind Bender Films: Congratulations! Let’s all give ourselves a pat on the back now. You guys did a great job. Thank you for continuously making us proud!
I am so proud of them. For the second time in history, they garnered a lot of awards. I don’t want to consider myself as a major contribution to the group since I barely get to be with them when they shoot. It’s either I have other things to attend to or I am back home in the province. Though my never-ending support to them shall remain.
I’m proud to have seen you work and grow. I’m proud to say that I have genius friends who can be nerdy but are cool and awesome that way. Stay awesome mind benders!

Dreaming of Paris (January 18)

Ever since I knew all about Paris I’ve been dreaming of going there someday. As for now, since I can’t go to Paris yet, I’ve been into things that is related to Paris. Trust me, my friends know all about this Parisian love except for their language. I just find it hard though I practically know a few terms.

So, anyway, I logged on to my Polyvore account and created sets of outfit that I would possibly wear in Paris. It looks amateur-ish but whatever. So here are my looks:

Cinemagis 4: Digital Short Film Festival (January 17)

Cinemagis is a digital short film festival promulgated by the Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts. It aims to celebrate the film making potentials of Northern Mindanao through a competition. The festival also helps  in collecting donations for the underprivileged communities. Instead of paying in cash as a fee for watching the films, they accept donations such as pad papers, pencils, noodles and the like. (Click here to see more of the details for this year.)

This year, the Artistic Director of Dulaang Atenista, Ryan Lao, together with Mind Bender Films production, joins again with the film entitled “BF”. The screenplay was created by Dennis Flores. It features members of Dulaang Atenista like Franz Lacson, Sheila Cabugsa, Shaun Pilapil, JC Salon with the special participation of Egan Seccion, John Paul Ombao and Megan Hernandez’s dad Mr. Mac Hernandez. I won’t spoil anything about the film. I only saw clips of it while they were shooting them.

“BF” received nominations from most of the categories excluding the Best Sound Editing. I really hope they will win! The awarding ceremonies will be on January 20, 2011 at SM City Cagayan de Oro Atrium.

Here’s the trailer of “BF” from Mind Bender Films’ YouTube channel:

From all the teasers showed tonight, there are a lot of potential mainstream film makers.

See you at the movies! Support all the films. (Click here to see the complete details of the festival.)

Cheers!

AsianVogue: Your One-Stop Shop for Shoes and Bags (January 16)

For the past few days (and weeks) I’ve been talking and sharing about shoes. Last semester, my good classmate Lai shared about AsianVogue – an online shop for killer shoes and bags. I checked it out as soon as I possibly I can and I am deeply in love with their wide collections of shoes. I even bookmarked it!

I was planning to buy a pair from their fabulous collection but it might not arrive in time for the ball where I will be wearing them. I still am planning to buy some pairs from their shop but I still have a lot of saving to do.

Here are some of the shoes from their shop:

Check them out now! Click here for AsianVogue’s classy site! Be amazed and fall in love with their wide collection. Plus, the owner is easy to communicate with. :)  AsianVogue also has a page in Facebook! Click here.

This good shop also has an on-going shopping spree giveaway. For details, check out their Tumblr page.

Get your new kicks from this shop now! Spread the word! Cheers!

A Message for My Little Sisters (January 15)

Let’s make things clear first, I am not going to sing. Neither would I post a video of my self singing or talking.  I just thought that this advice would be right to all the girls I have met and considered as my little sisters, especially in Dulaang Atenista.

The reason for this post is that I get to read a lot of emotional stuff (in Twitter and blogs) and it’s getting pretty depressing as an elder friend. I might sound like your mom but it wasn’t supposed to be that way. You’d laugh at your tweets in the next few years of your life.

THE ADVICE

Young love could be as painful and as joyful as it can be. Just don’t take it seriously, yet. Things will go their way at the right time and place. Don’t let what your teenage hormones tell you what to do. Just take it slow. Think rationally and don’t let it get in to you (unless, of course, if it motivates you to become a better person).

I don’t want you girls, to be sad. I wish you would step up and bring the best out of yourself. It is something I am still starting to do and I’m regretting starting out late. I just wish you ladies would think of brighter things and brighter days.
I love you little sisters. Stay awesome.
Cheers!

RE-POST: “Productive” Afternoon (January 14)

Note: The past 23 hours of my life has been busy and I forgot to post about this. So I’m reposting this post from my other blog.

It’s a Saturday afternoon and I have no class. I spent the morning doing exercise in preparation for the upcoming annual literary ball, and browsing through Tumblr posts. I felt that I have done nothing. So, I decided to go out of my room and find something productive to do.

I went to school to return the book I borrowed from the university library which was due today. It was a reference guide to screenwriting. I am in the process of converting this short play I made into a film.

Since I still had time, I browsed for other books that might interest me. I found these two design basics books. I got them off the shelf together with this magazine layout book and a book on night photography. I just browsed them. The magazine layout book was my first victim since I am preparing for the next issue of XELLO publication. There are a couple of good things in it. I immediately got ideas from them. I browsed the other books for the next hour. After having finished scanning and browsing them, I returned them to their shelves and left.

I went to get coffee at McDonald’s since its so cold and I miss coffee! It’s my first coffee in five days! After getting my coffee, I went home and read a book. I am currently reading “The Phantom of the Opera” by Gaston Leroux. I love the coffee from McDonald’s because it’s brewed of course and it’s delicious. They’re using (according to their menu) this “coffea arabica” beans which is very tasty and the aroma is sensational!

Nothings beats coffee and a good book in this cold weather.

Since I am so feeling my outfit, I took a picture of it using the timer on my digital camera (yeah, that’s the kind of loner I am). I checked out first if there are people coming my way before I finally posed for the camera. I posted it on Lookbook. Though the quality’s crappy because I had no one else to take my photo, but whatev,  I like it anyway!

I won’t ask whatever is on your mind because I know it’s crappy. So I’ll continue to read this book while waiting for my friend Janne who is in a seminar now.

Cheers!
